With my feet on the ground, and my head in the clouds

Greetings dear reader, whether you be one, many, or merely my reflection in the computer screen. With this, my blogging maiden voyage, I want to open with my favorite, if a bit cliched, quote: "with my feet on the ground, and my head in the clouds." If I am not mistaken, this quote is not credited to one person, but to the voice of our generation; a group of individuals who have relearned how to love words and wordsmithing (which, incidentally, is the greatest word in the English language, for its creation is its definition). We resent both arrogant absolutes and the shirking middle ground. Who is the universe to demand we pick a side? Your ancient cants can't hold us any longer. We refuse your indulgent misery on the principle of rejecting principle (for the sake of principle, of course). Jack need no longer be a dull boy; his work is play.
